Background & Historical Context of Brunswick
Brunswick Health Centre serves the local community as a GP training practice and a hub for a wide range of medical services, including chronic disease clinics such as asthma and diabetes, antenatal and postnatal care, vaccination programs, and well-person health checks.
Originally located at 139/140 St Helens Road, the practice announced plans to move to a refurbished building behind their present site on Phillips Parade — part of the original Swansea Hospital site — in order to expand facilities, provide improved parking (including for disabled visitors), and enhance overall accessibility for patients and staff.
This relocation reflects the Centre’s commitment to maintaining high-quality local care in a modern, purpose-refurbished environment.
As of now, Brunswick Health Centre cares for over 6,000 patients within its catchment area, maintaining a strong record of access and service continuity.
Our Scope of Work
For their upgraded premises, LA Alarms, together with our electrical division LA Electrical, was contracted to deliver a complete electrical and security installation throughout the new Brunswick Health Centre.
The key elements of our installation included:
- A full new electrical installation, with upgraded distribution, wiring, and circuits
- Installation of multiple new power points across all consulting, reception, and office areas
- Modern, energy-efficient lighting systems designed for a healthcare environment
- A fully integrated Fire Alarm System, compliant with healthcare safety regulations
- A comprehensive Intruder Alarm System for secure perimeter and internal protection
- High-definition CCTV System for enhanced monitoring and security
- Professionally installed Data Cabling infrastructure to support network connectivity and digital systems across the entire facility
Our team worked closely with the Health Centre’s management and staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations. The project was completed on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.
